I've been keeping up with a new multimedia section the New York Times has been running for a few months now called One in 8 Million. With gorgeous pictures and great quality recording, it's story telling and reporting with depth and character: everyday New Yorkers telling their lives. That's where the good stuff is. Here's one I love...
Georgiana DePalma Tedone, a 90-year-old cheesemaker who reminds me of my great aunt, one of my heroes. Just listen to her voice... I love it when she says, "If I didn't have my own independence, that would be putting me in a coffin..."
